FOXHILL AT ST. GEORGE’S ROAD
Foxhill at Saint George’s Road in the North Roland Park neighborhood of Baltimore features a beautiful prairie-style home that was once part of a larger estate with a historic stone-walled garden. When the current owners, including a container ship pilot, purchased the property in the late 2010s, they were eager to create a cohesive outdoor space that connected with the architecture while addressing the challenges of steep grades. We designed terraced walls that evoke the bow and stern of a ship, improving site access and parking along the way. The landscape is divided into five distinct zones, each offering unique experiences, from wildflower prairies to woodland edges, and even productive gardens filled with fruit trees and vegetables. The final result blends natural beauty with structured design, creating a peaceful retreat that invites exploration and enjoyment right in the heart of the city.
