SPRING HOUSE GARDEN
Spring House Garden in Washington, DC’s Wesley Heights neighborhood is a dynamic landscape reimagined for beauty, function, and sustainability. With steep slopes, persistent groundwater, and invasive groundcovers, the design focused on creating inviting entrances, improving connections, and addressing drainage. A new front walkway guides visitors through a lush garden, while a hedge screens the parking area. In the backyard, a once-hidden spring is now a central feature, flowing through two raised lawn terraces connected by a wooden bridge. The back slope, transformed into a vibrant pollinator-friendly garden, adds seasonal color and movement. Blending timeless charm with modern ecological design, Spring House Garden is an immersive landscape to be enjoyed year-round.
